People who have previously enjoyed Crete holidays from Dealchecker and want to explore more of the Mediterranean will love this cruise.

The Cyclades Islands Cluster is split up into 3 groups:
  • The Southern Cyclades Islands: Milos, Kimolos, Folegadros, Sikinos, Ios, Santorini (Thira) and Anafi

  • The Middle Cyclades Islands: Serifos, Sifnos, Paros, Antiparos, Naxos and Amorgos

  • The Little Cyclades Islands: Schinoussa, Iraklia, Koufonisia and Donoussa

  • The Northern Cyclades Islands: Kea, Kythnos, Andros, Syros, Tinos, Mykonos, Delos and Rinia

The Cyclades Islands is one of the most popular destination for sailing holidays in Greece. From early June to late September - early October, the most prominent wind in the area is the Meltemi, which blows N-NW . During July and August when is its strongest period, the "Meltemi" wind blows with a force of 5-6 Beaufort and often reaches a force of 7-8 Beaufort. In case you don't feel so experienced for such a "sportive" sailing and maneuverings into the ports for mooring with such a strong winds, then it's wise to consider hiring a professional skipper and let him command the boat. The "Meltemi" wind is not as strong in June, Septmenber and October, when it reaches 3-4 Beaufort and blows from various directions.
